2024 Community Service Project! SST had SO much fun making cozy blankets for kids staying at the Ronald McDonald House! Thanks to all our SST volunteers - big and small- for making today a great day!!	2023 Holiday Fundraiser Thank you to all the wonderful families who donated to Timmy's Kids in support of SST's 2023 Holiday Fundraiser! Together, we raised $400.00 for this amazing charity! With SST's match, the total donation to Timmy's Kids was $800.00!!!! Thank you again to all who contributed!!	SST Community Service Project complete! Baking and delivering birthday cakes for children in need because every child deserves a birthday celebration!
2022 Holiday Fundraiser! This year, SST helped to organize a food drive to support the Worthington Resource Pantry. Thank you to all of our extended SST family for helping to fill some bellies this Holiday Season!	"iamstonefoltz" Foundation Holiday Fundraiser 2021! Our goal was to raise $250 for the "iamstonefoltz" Foundation. We are beyond touched and humbled by everyone's generosity. THANK YOU! Together, we raised $485.00!!! With the SST dollar for dollar match, that brings our total donation to $970.00! Actually, we decided to make it a nice round number of $1,000.00! #iamstonefoltz #neverleaveanyonebehind	HAPPY 20TH ANNIVERSARY TO SPECIALIZED SPEECH TECHNOLOGIES! To commemorate this landmark occasion, SST had the 20 most senior staff members select a charity or organization of their choice, and we made a $100.00 donation on behalf of SST! What better way to celebrate 20 years than with 20 days of GIVING BACK... something that has always been deeply rooted in the very core of SST!
2020 Holiday Fundraiser with One Warm Coat coat The Annual SST Holiday Fundraiser with One Warm Coat was a HUGE success! We were overwhelmed by the generosity of the SST families and surrounding community! Thank you to everyone to help make the holidays a bit warmer for those in need!	"Wood's Bags" for Holy Family Soup Kitchen Unfortunately we weren't able to do our Annual Community Service Day at the Holy Family Soup Kitchen due to COVID19 restricting any volunteers. In the meantime, we came up with an idea to make lots of 'Wood's Bags' that are needed for the clients who are homeless and can benefit from non-perishable food items! We had fun doing this and SST was happy to help in a little way! We are excited to be able to go ahead to do our Community Service Day sometime hopefully this summer!	SST and DublinThon! DublinThon is such a wonderful organization and we were super excited to be able to partake this year! SST Therapists, Mona Mehta and Katie Szabo were at the event representing SST and the donation we made as part of our 2019 Holiday Fundraiser. Way to go, everyone! #beatchildhoodcancer #cancersucks
She Has A Name Gala! End Human Trafficki SST and Friends joined over 280 guests to celebrated hope on November 7, 2019! Thank you to our sponsors, volunteers, guests, and partners who made the evening a blast.	DublinThon- End Pediatric Cancer! 2019 Holiday Fundraiser Thank you to all of those from the SST extended family who have open their hearts and wallets to help support our DublinThon Fundraiser! DublinThon is an extraordinary organization that supports pediatric cancer research. The friends and families of SST generously donated $290.51 to this cause and as promised, SST matched those donations and was able to make a total contribution of $581.02.	SST & Little Buddies SST was thrilled to present at the August Little Buddies meeting. Little Buddies Parent Resource Group is for new or expectant parents of babies with Down syndrome. This group helps ease the worries of new parents and provide the information they need. SST was there to talk about the benefits of group therapy, a variety of the services available to children with Down Syndrome, and funding options available to the family.
2019 SST Community Service Day The 13th Annual Soup Kitchen Community Service Day was held this year at the Faith Mission Services. Thank you for allowing us to help serve the community! What a great day! (And nobody rocks a hairnet like the SST gals!) Lookin' good, ladies	SST and SHRINERS HOSPITAL for CHILDR The Marrero family made it to Philadelphia! Hailey Marrero was proud to represent Specialized Speech Technologies, Inc. as she delivered all of the toys, toiletries and cash raised by SST! Shriners representative, Stephanie Byrwa, was there to accept the gifts on behalf of Shriners Hospital for Children. She was overwhelmed by generosity of the donation. Thank you to all who gave this holiday season!	Leeds Farm 2018 SST was thrilled to once again be a part of the Autism Harvest Festival at Leeds Farm on September 22, 2018. It is a wonderful event and we are thrilled Leeds Farm offers this special day for these amazing kids and their families!
2018 Holy Family Soup Kitchen On February 19, 2018 the SST Team made their annual trip down to the Holy Family Soup Kitchen to serve and give back to the community.	2017 Holiday Fundraiser The 2017 Holiday Fundraiser was a HUGE SUCCESS! Thank you to everyone who made the 2017 Holiday Fundraiser with Mary's Meals a HUGE SUCCESS! SST staff, clients, family and friends all rallied together to collect over $699.00 for this worthy cause! The response was overwhelming! Furthermore, an anonymous donor will be DOUBLING all of the money raised this season for Mary's Meals! Wow! THANK YOU to everyone at Mary's Meals for all you do to help feed the children of the world!	Holy Family 2017 SST's 11th Annual Community Service Outing at Holy Family Soup Kitchen! 2016 Holiday Fundraiser 2016 Holiday Fundraiser with the Citizens for Human Action (CHA) Animal Shelter was a HUGE SUCCESS! Miss Melanie, Miss Alaina and Miss Andrea were present to drop off all the goodies collected for our furry friends this holiday season! Thank you to all who contributed! Of course, they couldn't leave without a little cuddle time from these sweet animals! A BIG THANK YOU to everyone at CHA for all you do to help animals in need! Happy Holidays!	Happy 15 Year Anniversary SST! 15 trees for 15 years! In honor of the 15th Anniversary of Specialized Speech Technologies, Inc., the SST Team wanted to give something back to the community that has supported us throughout the years! Therefore, 15 trees were donated by SST and planted by SST Staff members and their families! A variety of oak, maple and tulip trees were planted at Metzger Park in Westerville, Ohio with the help of the City of Westerville Parks and Recreation Department.	Summer Camp Expo 2016 Thank you Olentangy Orange Middle School for once again hosting an AMAZING Summer Camp Expo!!! It may have been pouring outside, but Miss Shardae and Miss Marla were nothing but SUMMER inside!!! Miss Marla states, "It was great running into so many SST friends and everyone was very excited by the amount of Summer Groups we had to offer!"
Holy Family Soup Kitchen Another year enjoyed helping out at the Holy Family Soup Kitchen downtown. This particular event is near and dear to our hearts and is something we make a point to do annually. A good time was had by all!	DCBDD Transition Fair 2016 Thank you so much to Delaware County Board of DD and Big Walnut High School for hosting the Transition Fair last night! Once again, SST was there to share some of our AMAZING services with some great families!!!	Buckeye Ranch 2015 ADOPT-A-FAMILY SUCCESS! The gifts have all been wrapped with care and one lucky family will have the Christmas they've always wished for! A BIG thank you to the Buckeye Ranch for coordinating the ADOPT-A-Family event! Back to School Picnic 2015 The 2015 Back-to-School Picnic was a success! Thanks to everyone for coming out to enjoy the beautiful afternoon with us!	Trunk or Treat 2015 Thank you to the Autism Society of Ohio for hosting their 3rd Annual Sensory-Friendly Trunk or Treat event yesterday! It was a great time for all involved! The SST team was there with all of our beach gear and our Fun in the Sun" trunk.... courtesy of Miss Shardae! Our decorated trunk features a sensory sand beach filled with Halloween spider rings, coloring pages for fine motor skills.....and, of course, lots of candy! We ran into lots of old friends and made many news ones as well! We can't wa	Leed's Farm 2015 Back again for the annual Leed's Farm event. As always we had a great time meeting new faces and catching up with some familiar ones! Leed's Farm is always a blast!
Starry Night 2015 Team SST was out in force yesterday to help out at 3rd Annual Starry Night! "We have been a part of this wonderful event every year!" states Marla Marrero. "We just love seeing all the great kids, parents, educators and community members come together to help benefit the Westerville schools!" Despite the snow, SST was all about SUMMER last night at Olentangy Orange Middle School! "It was great to be there promoting our great summer groups and our amazing therapists!" states SST member, Marla Marrero. "Everyone was really excited about some of our really popular groups and there was a ton of buzz around the new ones as well! It will be a great summer at SST!" So.... what are you waiting for???? DCBDD Transition Fair 2015 And we are off! SST was proud to kick off their first marketing event of the New Year with the DCBDD Transition Fair. According to Miss Marla, "it is so important for families to know about services available to their child as they transition into adulthood." Despite the snowy weather, Miss Marla also reports there was a nice turnout for the event and "plenty of interest in our 16+ Social Language Group and Aquatic Therapy!" We got a chance to deliver all the goodies collected for the Columbus VA, personally!	Baby Bonanza On March 9th, SST was thrilled to participate in the 2014 Baby Bonanza & Kid Expo. This nationally recognized event features the latest products for mommy, baby and child! In addition, a variety of valuable information on health and educational organizations were available to expectant mothers and young families. At this event, Miss Kathy and Miss Marla were on site to offer any guidance and advice pertaining to developmental milestones, delays & therapeutic interventions in speech, OT and PT.
Ability At Work- DCBDD Specialized Speech Technologies, Inc. is so honored to join forces with the Delaware County Board of Developmental Disabilities to help raise awareness for the state-wide Ability@Work campaign!
